Blackjack Rules at Stake
The goal of blackjack is to beat the dealer by having a hand total closer to 21 without exceeding it. You and the dealer are both dealt 2 cards — one dealer card is face up, one face down.
Card values: Number cards = face value. J, Q, K = 10. Ace = 1 or 11 (whichever is better for the hand).
A Blackjack (Ace + 10-value card on the initial deal) pays 3:2. Regular wins pay 1:1. Ties (push) return your bet.
Player actions available:
- Hit:Take another card from the deck
- Stand:Keep your current hand and end your turn
- Double Down:Double your bet and receive exactly one more card
- Split:Split two identical cards into two separate hands
- Insurance:Side bet when dealer shows Ace (generally avoid)
Blackjack Basic Strategy
