Drill's 2,000,000× ceiling puts it among the highest max-win originals on Stake — above Crash and on par with the most extreme multiplier games. The mining theme gives even extreme outcomes a dramatic visual context as the drill descends deeper and deeper.
How Stake Drill Works
Drill follows the same core structure as Slide, Crash, and Limbo — it's a burst-style game where a multiplier increases until it stops. The key difference: in Drill, you set your target multiplier in advance (like Limbo) rather than making a live cash-out decision.
At the start of each round, you're presented with three drills to choose from. You pick one, set your target multiplier, and confirm your bet. The animation shows your drill descending — with the multiplier climbing as it goes deeper. If the drill reaches or exceeds your target, you win. If it stops before reaching your target, you lose.
Drill supports both manual and Auto Mode. In Auto Mode you can set a target, bet size, and number of rounds and let it run — identical to how Limbo's auto-bet works.
How to Play Drill on Stake
Choose One of Three Drills
At the start of each round, select one of the three available drills. Each round a new set of three drills is presented — all provably fair.
Set Your Target Multiplier
Enter the multiplier you want to reach. Higher targets mean lower probability of the drill reaching them — but bigger payouts when they do. This works exactly like setting a target in Limbo.
Place Your Bet
Set your wager and confirm. Drill accepts all Stake-supported cryptocurrencies. Keep bets proportional to your target multiplier — higher targets warrant smaller bets.
Watch the Drill Descend
The animation shows your drill boring down — the multiplier climbs as it descends. It either meets your target (win) or stops short (loss). Results are instant and verifiable.
Drill Strategies
Low Target for High Win Rate (2×)
Set your target to 2× for roughly a 49% win rate per round (accounting for 2% house edge). Over 100 rounds at $1, you win ~49 rounds × 2× = $98, lose ~51 rounds × $1 = $51 net = -$2 (house edge). Simple, predictable variance.
High Target for Big Win Hunting (100×+)
Set targets of 100× or higher with micro-bets (e.g. $0.10). At 100×, win rate is ~0.98%. Over 1,000 rounds, expect ~10 hits returning $100 gross on $100 wagered. The rare 2,000,000× extreme hit is only accessible through high-target settings.
Auto Mode at Fixed Target
Configure Auto Mode with a fixed target multiplier, bet size, and stop-on-loss / stop-on-profit conditions. Drill behaves identically to Limbo in auto mode — let it run and review results rather than watching each animation.
Flat Bet Sizing
Regardless of target multiplier, keep each Drill bet at 1% of session bankroll. Higher targets mean fewer wins but bigger payouts — flat betting prevents a losing streak at a high target from draining your bankroll faster than expected.
Same Math as Limbo: Drill and Limbo use the same underlying multiplier distribution. Setting Drill to 2× target has the exact same win probability as Limbo at 2×. The difference is only in the visual presentation and the drill-selection mechanic each round.
Provably Fair Verification
The drill's stopping point — and therefore whether it reaches your target — is determined by a cryptographic server seed committed to before you place your bet. After the round the seed is revealed, and you can verify the drill's outcome matched the pre-committed hash. Visit Stake's fairness tab to audit any round.
