Per round cap on Stake

The maximum win in Stake Tarot is 5,000× your bet, achieved when all three revealed cards show the maximum multiplier combination. Because the round ends immediately if either side card shows a 0×, reaching the maximum requires a complete, uninterrupted three-card reveal — a relatively rare event.

Stake's $500,000 per-round cap applies regardless of multiplier. Tarot's three-card structure means each round is self-contained and fast — there is no cascading mechanic, just the tension of watching three cards flip in sequence.

How Stake Tarot Works

Tarot places three face-down cards on the table. Each round, they flip in a specific order: middle card first, then left card, then right card. Each flipped card reveals a multiplier — or a 0×.

The critical rule: if either the left or right card reveals a 0× multiplier, the round ends immediately and a new game begins. Only when both side cards show non-zero multipliers do you collect your full payout.

Your payout is based on the combination of multipliers across all three cards when the round completes. Stake's Tarot game features three risk modes — Easy, Medium, and Hard — each changing the probability and size of multipliers on the cards. The result is a dramatic, high-tension card-reveal experience with a 5,000× ceiling.

Risk Modes Explained

Easy

Low Risk

Modest multipliers with a lower frequency of 0× side cards. More consistent payouts, lower ceiling. Best for players who want frequent wins and extended sessions.

Medium

Medium Risk

Balanced distribution between 0× cards and multiplier cards. A good starting point for new Tarot players before adjusting to taste.

Hard

High Risk

Higher frequency of 0× side cards but significantly larger multipliers when they're avoided. Required for approaching the 5,000× max win. High variance — many rounds will end early.

How to Play Tarot on Stake

1

Choose Your Risk Mode

Select Easy, Medium, or Hard. This determines the multiplier distribution and 0× card frequency. New players should start with Easy to learn the card-reveal pacing.

2

Set Your Bet Amount

Enter your wager. Tarot accepts all Stake-compatible cryptocurrencies. Keep bets proportional to your bankroll — Hard mode has higher variance and round endings from 0× cards are frequent.

3

Watch the Cards Flip

The middle card flips first — showing its multiplier. Then the left card, then the right card. If a side card shows 0×, the round ends here. If both sides show multipliers, you win.

4

Collect or Start Again

A full 3-card reveal without a 0× pays out your multiplier. If a 0× appeared, the round ends and a new game begins automatically. Results are provably verifiable after each round.

Tarot Strategies

Match Risk Mode to Bankroll Size

Hard mode ends many rounds early with 0× cards. A large bankroll is needed to survive the variance and reach the big multipliers. Easy mode is more forgiving for smaller bankrolls.

Flat Betting Per Round

Keep each Tarot bet at 1–2% of session bankroll. The 3-card reveal creates natural drama, but the house edge applies the same way as any other game — consistent bet sizing is the best risk management.

Easy Mode for Volume Play

Easy mode's lower 0× frequency means more completed rounds per session hour. If your goal is VIP XP grinding or rakeback accumulation, Easy mode maximises completed rounds per dollar wagered.

Set a Hard Stop-Loss

Hard mode Tarot can produce long streaks of 0× side card endings. Set a hard stop at -30% of your session budget and honor it — don't chase losses by increasing bet size after repeated early exits.

Provably Fair Verification

Every Tarot round is provably fair. All three card values — including whether side cards show 0× — are determined by a cryptographic server seed committed to before your bet. After the round, the seed is revealed and you can verify every card matched the pre-committed hash.
