Limbo's maximum target is 1,000,000× — the largest multiplier you can set in any Stake Original. At this target, you win approximately once every 1,000,000 bets. If you're running 1 bet per second, statistically you'd wait roughly 11 days straight before hitting it. The reward: 1,000,000× your bet amount, subject to the $500,000 per-round platform cap.
To collect the full $500,000 at 1,000,000×, your required bet size is just $0.50. This is the most capital-efficient max win setup across all Stake Originals — $0.50 bet, $500,000 potential return, 1,000,000-to-1 odds. High-volume auto-bet at $0.01 per round lets you hunt this target sustainably over millions of spins.
For practical max-win hunting, many players target 10,000×–100,000× — multipliers that pay $500,000 on bets of $5–$50, with win rates between once per 10,000 and once per 100,000 rounds. This balances the waiting time with meaningful expected payout per hit.
How Limbo Works
Limbo is the inverse of Crash in some ways. Instead of watching a multiplier climb and cashing out, you pre-set your target and the game generates a single random result. If the result beats your target, you win at that exact multiplier.
The target can be anything from 1.01× to 1,000,000×. A target of 2× means you'll win roughly 49.5% of the time (slightly less due to the 1% house edge). A target of 1,000,000× wins roughly once every million bets.
Unlike Crash, there's no decision to make mid-game — just set your target, bet, and see the result. This makes it ideal for Auto-Bet sessions hunting specific multiplier milestones.

Limbo Strategies
Limbo's single variable — the target multiplier — gives you full control over risk and frequency. The strategies below map different target ranges to real bankroll frameworks used by Stake players.
1.01× Volume Grinding (Rakeback & XP)
Targeting 1.01× wins roughly 98% of the time. Each win pays just 0.01× profit — but the goal isn't profit, it's volume. Every bet wagered generates rakeback and loyalty XP at Stake. At $5 per bet, 1,000 rounds wagered = $5,000 volume → significant rakeback depending on your VIP level. The 1% house edge costs $50 over 1,000 rounds.
2× Flat Bet (Near Coin-Flip)
Target 2× for a 49.5% win rate. Flat-bet the same amount each round. Your bankroll will hover near its starting point for extended periods. The house edge gradually drains 1% of wagered. Ideal for players who want extended sessions at low risk — the even split between wins and losses keeps play interesting without big swings.
2× Martingale (Controlled Recovery)
Target 2×. Start at $1. Double after each loss: $1 → $2 → $4 → $8 → $16... Reset after any win. Eight consecutive losses (probability ~0.4%) require a $255 bankroll. Use Auto-Bet's on-loss multiplier (set to 2×) and always set a maximum bet cap at 6–8 doublings. A winning run recovers all losses plus $1 net profit per chain.
10× Target Hunt (Medium Variance)
Target 10× for a 9.9% win rate — roughly 1 hit per 10 bets. Bet 1–2% of bankroll. Auto-Bet 200 rounds. Expect ~20 wins at 10× = 200× of your base bet returned on 200 bets wagered. House edge costs 2×. A win streak of 3 consecutive 10× hits (probability ~0.1%) returns 30× base in three bets — the balanced hunting strategy.
100× Milestone Hunting
Target 100× for a 0.99% hit rate — roughly 1 in 101 bets. Bet 0.3–0.5% of bankroll. Run 500-round Auto-Bet sessions. Expect approximately 5 hits per 500 bets. One hit returns 100× your bet. Five hits at $1 = $500 gross on $500 wagered — even at house edge you're nearly break-even, but one extra hit above expectation is large profit.
1,000×–1,000,000× Jackpot Sessions
Targeting 1,000× means 0.099% win rate — 1 hit per ~1,010 bets. At $0.10 per bet, 1,000 bets costs $100 and you'll expect ~1 win returning $100. Variance is enormous — sometimes 0 hits in 3,000 bets. But when it happens, a $0.50 bet at 1,000× returns $500 (hitting the $500K cap would require a $500 bet). These sessions are best run overnight with Auto-Bet and a session loss limit.
Key Insight: No matter what multiplier you target, the expected loss per dollar wagered is always 1% (the house edge). High targets don't improve odds — they compress the same expected value into rarer, bigger events.
Provably Fair Verification
Every Limbo round is provably fair. The result multiplier is determined by a cryptographic server seed committed before you place your bet. After the round resolves, the seed is revealed — you can independently verify that the multiplier matched the pre-committed hash using Stake's fairness tab.
