Per round cap on Stake

The verified maximum multiplier in Stake Flip is 1,027,604× — reached by correctly calling a very long chain of consecutive flips without a single error. With each flip being a 50/50 chance, the probability of roughly a 20-flip winning streak maps exactly to this multiplier level.

Stake's $500,000 per-round cap applies regardless of multiplier. In practice, most Flip sessions target shorter chains — 3 to 5 correct calls is the most common cash-out zone, giving multipliers between roughly 7× and 20× with meaningful hit rates.

How Stake Flip Works

Flip is a 50/50 heads-or-tails game with a key twist: the multiplier climbs the more you keep flipping correctly. You don't have to stop after the first win — each correct call builds on the previous one, pushing your multiplier higher.

After every successful flip, you face the same decision: cash out and take your current winnings, or flip again and try to build a bigger chain. One wrong call and you lose your accumulated bet for that round.

The game is fast, exciting, and entirely your choice — Stake describes it as "instant action" with a 50/50 chance of grabbing the 1,027,604.48× max multiplier at the extreme end of a perfect flip streak.

How to Play Flip on Stake

1

Set Your Bet Amount

Enter your wager. Flip accepts all Stake-compatible cryptocurrencies — BTC, ETH, SOL, LTC, DOGE, USDT, and more.

2

Choose Heads or Tails

Pick your side for the flip. Both have equal probability — the 2% house edge is built into the payout rate, not the win probability.

3

Watch the Coin Flip

Hit the Bet button and watch the coin flip. Correct guess? Your multiplier goes up and you can flip again or cash out.

4

Cash Out or Keep Flipping

This is the core decision in Flip. Take your current multiplier, or risk it all on another flip to push higher. The max win of 1,027,604× requires an extraordinary chain of correct calls.

Flip Strategies

Set a Chain Target and Stick to It

Decide before you start how many consecutive correct flips you'll attempt — e.g. 3 flips. Once you hit your chain target, always cash out. The temptation to go one more flip is the most common source of losses in this game.

Single Flip + Flat Bet (Low Variance)

Cash out after every single correct flip and immediately start a new round. This plays Flip like a near 50/50 game. Over many rounds at $1, expected cost is 2% of total wagered. Simple, predictable, easy to track.

Martingale (Short-Term Recovery)

Double your bet after every loss. $1 → $2 → $4... Reset after any win. One win recovers all losses plus $1 profit. Risk: a 10-loss streak (0.1% chance) requires $1,023 bankroll. Set a hard stop at 8 doublings. Use cautiously.

Session Budget and Hard Stop

Set a stop-loss at 30% of your session budget before starting. Flip's speed (dozens of rounds per minute) means a bad streak can drain funds fast. Pre-committed limits are the most important risk tool in Flip.

Remember: Previous flips have zero influence on the next. The coin has no memory. Streak patterns are an illusion — each flip is an independent 50/50 event with a 2% house edge built in.

Provably Fair Verification

Every Flip outcome is determined by a cryptographic server seed committed to before you place your bet. After each round, the seed is revealed — you can verify it independently on Stake's fairness tab. No manipulation is possible after your bet is placed.
