Per round cap on Stake
The maximum multiplier in Stake Dice is 9,900× — achieved by setting a win chance of exactly 0.01%. At this setting, your payout if you win is 9,900× your bet amount (formula: 99 ÷ 0.01 = 9,900). Only 0.01% of rolls will win at this extreme setting, so this is a very high-variance play.
Stake's platform cap of $500,000 per round limits the maximum real-money payout regardless of multiplier. To collect $500,000 at 9,900×, you'd need a bet of approximately $50.50. Higher bets are allowed but the extra winnings above $500,000 would be forfeited.
For most players, a win chance of 47.5%–49.5% provides the best session experience — near coin-flip odds with a 1.98×–2.07× payout, giving the lowest bankroll volatility while maintaining a 99% long-term RTP.
How Dice Works
The game generates a random number between 0.00 and 99.99. Before rolling, you set a target number and choose whether you want the result to be over or under that number.
The Win Chance slider lets you dial in your probability of winning — anywhere from 0.01% to 98%. A higher win chance means lower multipliers (less risk, less reward). A lower win chance offers higher multipliers (more risk, higher reward).
The payout multiplier is calculated automatically: Multiplier = (1 / Win Chance) × 0.99 — the 0.99 factor represents the 1% house edge (99% RTP).
How to Play Dice on Stake
Set Your Bet Amount
Enter how much you want to wager. Use the Quick Bet buttons (1/2x, 2x) to adjust your bet fast. The minimum bet is a tiny fraction of most cryptos.
Choose Over or Under
Decide whether you want the dice roll to land over or under your target number. The game's UI shows your probability and potential payout in real time.
Adjust the Win Chance
Drag the slider to set your desired win probability. Watch the multiplier update live. Low chance = high multiplier. High chance = low multiplier.
Roll the Dice
Click Roll (or set Auto Bet with custom stop conditions) and the result instantly appears. Win or lose, the result is provably fair and verifiable.
Dice Betting Strategies
Dice is the most flexible game on Stake — the win chance slider gives you exact control over every risk/reward combination. These strategies are used by experienced players to manage bankroll and target specific outcomes.
49.5% Flat Bet (Lowest Variance)
Set win chance to 49.5% for a 2.0× payout — as close to a coin flip as Dice allows. Bet a fixed amount every roll. Expected loss: exactly 1% of total wagered over time. Sessions last longest this way. Ideal for rakeback grinding, bonus clearing, and XP accumulation with minimal bankroll swings.
Martingale at 49.5% (Recovery System)
Start at $1 with 49.5% win chance. After each loss, double: $1 → $2 → $4 → $8... Reset to $1 after any win. One win always recovers all previous losses plus $1 profit. A 10-loss streak (probability ~0.08%) demands $1,023 bankroll. Use Auto-Bet's 'Stop on Loss' after 8 consecutive losses to cap maximum exposure.
Paroli / Reverse Martingale (Streak Riding)
At 49.5%, double your bet only after a WIN. After 3 consecutive wins, reset to base. Maximum profit per 3-win chain: 7× your base bet. Maximum loss per cycle: 1× your base bet. Unlike Martingale, losing streaks don't compound your exposure — you always reset. Perfect for disciplined sessions where downside control matters.
D'Alembert System (Gradual Recovery)
Set win chance to 49.5%. Start at $5. Add $1 after each loss; subtract $1 after each win. Slower progression than Martingale — a 10-loss run only brings your bet to $15, not $1,024. Resets when you return to $5. Good for 100–200 round sessions where you want recovery without aggressive doubling.
Medium Win Chance Hunt (5%–15%)
Set 5% win chance (19.8× payout) or 10% (9.9×). Bet 0.5–1% of your total bankroll per roll. Auto-Bet for 200 rounds. At 10%, expect roughly 20 wins per 200 rolls. Each win at $1 returns $9.90 — 20 hits = $198 gross on $200 wagered. House edge costs $2. Good balance of frequency and multiplier size.
Extreme Low Chance (0.1%–1%) Sniper
Set win chance to 0.5% (198× payout) or 1% (99×). Bet 0.1% of bankroll. Auto-Bet 1,000 rounds. At 1% win chance, expect ~10 wins per 1,000 rolls. One win at $1 pays $99 — 10 wins = $990 gross on $1,000 wagered. Expected cost: $10 (house edge). A wild swing above expectation can produce exceptional returns.
Remember: No betting system overcomes the 1% house edge. Dice is provably fair — strategies control variance and session shape, not expected value. Always set a session loss limit before you start.
Provably Fair Verification
Every Dice roll is provably fair. Before you bet, the server seed hash is published. After the roll, the full seed is revealed — you can independently compute the roll result and confirm it matches. The 1% house edge is built into the multiplier formula, not the seed generation. No manipulation is possible after bet placement.
Visit your Stake account's fairness tab to verify any Dice result from your history using the revealed server seed and your client seed.
