How Stake Mines Works

You choose how many mines (1–24) are hidden in a 5×5 grid of 25 tiles. Then you click tiles to reveal gems. Each safe gem increases your multiplier. Hit a mine and you lose your bet.

You cash out any time after at least one safe gem is revealed. The longer you play and the more mines on the board, the higher the payout — and the higher the risk of ending on a mine.

Mine positions are provably fair — set before you click a single tile, verifiable after the round ends.

Best Mines Strategies

1–3 Mines for Best Win Rate

1 mine gives a win rate above 95% per gem uncovered. 3 mines gives ~85% but with higher multipliers. For consistent sessions, stay in the 1–3 mine range and cash out after 3–5 safe gems.

Cash Out After 3–5 Gems

The multiplier grows exponentially with each gem. Cashing out after 3–5 safe gems (at 1–3 mines) delivers consistent small-medium wins. Pushing for 10+ gems drastically increases your bust risk.

Never Chase After a Bust

A mine hit is a full loss. Don't increase your next bet to recover. The board resets completely — each new game is independent. Flat bet every round and absorb busts as part of the statistical variance.

More Mines = More Variance

High mine counts (10–20) produce huge multipliers when you survive — but the probability of hitting a mine on each click grows rapidly. These setups require very large bankrolls to sustain through inevitable losing streaks.

Use Mines for Auto Bet Sessions

Set a fixed mine count, fixed click count (e.g. 3 gems), and enable auto cash-out. This removes decision fatigue and keeps your per-round strategy perfectly consistent across hundreds of rounds.

Every Board Is Provably Fair

Mine positions are determined by a cryptographic seed before the board is revealed. You can verify the mine layout after cashing out or busting — the casino cannot place mines reactively.

Exact Win Probability by Mine Count & Picks

Every Mines outcome is calculated using the hypergeometric distribution: P = C(25−M, N) ÷ C(25, N), where M = mine count and N = number of safe picks. These are exact figures — not estimates.

196.0%88.0%80.0%Ultra-safe grind

1060.0%19.8%5.7%High variance
1540.0%5.7%0.5%Very high risk
2020.0%0.5%0.03%Max risk

Formula: C(25−M, N) ÷ C(25, N), where C(n,k) = n! ÷ (k! × (n−k)!). Example for 3 mines, 3 picks: C(22,3) ÷ C(25,3) = 1,540 ÷ 2,300 = 67.0%. All figures independently verifiable.

Auto-Bet Configuration for Mines

Auto-Bet on Mines removes cash-out timing decisions — it clicks a fixed number of tiles and cashes out automatically every round. Here is the recommended setup:

  1. 1

Set Mine Count Before Enabling Auto-Bet

Choose your mine count based on the probability table above. 3 mines with 3 picks gives a 67% win rate — a solid baseline. 1 mine with 5 picks gives 80% win rate for maximum safety. Do not change mine count mid-session.

  2. 2

    Set Number of Auto Picks

In Auto-Bet mode, set how many tiles to reveal automatically before cashing out. For 3 mines: set to 3 picks (67% win rate). For 1 mine: 5 picks (80% win rate). The auto-bet will reveal that many gems and cash out — no manual action needed.

  3. 3

Set Bet Size to 1% of Session Budget

A bust loses your full bet. At 3 mines / 3 picks you'll bust approximately 1 in 3 rounds. Size bets so a 5-bust streak does not end your session. 1% of session budget per round is a reliable rule.

  4. 4

    Configure Stop-on-Loss

Set Stop-on-Loss at 30–35% of session budget. At $100 session: stop after $30 in losses. This fires automatically when the threshold is reached — you do not need to monitor it.

  5. 5

Do Not Increase Mine Count After Losses

Switching from 3 mines to 10 mines after a losing streak does not recover losses faster — it multiplies variance. The expected value (99% RTP) is the same regardless of mine count. Stick with your chosen setup.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Not cashing out early enough — watching the multiplier climb and holding past your planned exit

Increasing mine count after a loss in hopes of recovering faster — this compounds risk, not speed

Playing without a pre-set cash-out target — decide your exit multiplier before placing the bet

Using 20+ mines for jackpot hunting without a bankroll that can absorb long dry runs

Ignoring rakeback — every Mines bet earns rakeback regardless of outcome with code STAKEX
